GEE BELLO
Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Entertainer
Music Is His Life …
Gee Bello was born in Manchester,
England to an extrovert family whose father was a musician
and actor appearing in many Hollywood movies including
“The African Queen”. His family lived in
a large house letting out rooms to touring musicians,
so as a child the entertainment world was never to far
away.
At 15 Gee and some family friends
formed a group called “Street Gang”. They
spent 2 years working in England and touring Europe,
playing cover material and gaining a wealth of experience,
if no money! However, Gee’s ambitions drove him
to London in order to work amongst musicians dedicated
to writing, performing and developing their own style
of music.
Gee first came to public attention
when he was recruited as percussionist for “Light
of the World” in 1979, renowned as the premier
“British Jazz Funk Band” of its day.
Gee developed his song-writing and
musical talents until he emerged as the bands lead singer
and an essential part of their song-writing team. The
band recorded 4 albums; the most successful of these
being “Round Trip” with 3 hit singles (“I
Shot The Sheriff”, “Time”, and “London
Town”). The group became recognised within the
industry as a “clear pool of musical talent”
spawning offspring bands namely Beggar & Co and
Incognito. All three acts had chart success and made
TV appearances on Top of the Pops.

first solo album with Lonnie Simmonds and “The
Gap Band” in Los Angeles.
Gee has studied voice training
in LA, with Seft Riggs one of the Worlds finest
vocal teachers. Seft’s pupils included Michael
